Holy Static is an ongoing documentary series observing where faith persists within the noise of contemporary life: in tourist-thronged palaces, crowded streets and spaces where devotion is constantly watched.
II · The unfinished field
Begun in Southeast Asia in 2019 and interrupted by the pandemic, the project has continued intermittently and remains unfinished. Rather than examining religious doctrine, it attends to faith as a public, lived practice — a stillness that neither resolves into silence nor disappears into spectacle.
III · Ongoing
As the series develops across new regions, it will consider how acts of devotion persist, adapt and remain visible where the sacred and the everyday occupy the same frame.
